Just to let you all know that our lovely Dental Nurse Jo has passed her Oral Hygiene Education examination!! This means that all our clients can have a free of charge appointment with Jo whereby she can show you the best brushing techniques and recommend oral health products specifically designed to work for you.

 

 

Wakefield Academy Lecture - 10th May 2010 | Posted by Jason

On Saturday I spent a really enjoyable day lecturing to 20 dentists from all over the UK at the Wakefield Academy.  For the 1st time ever in the UK 20 microscopes were brought over from Germany to aid the learning experience. The course was aimed at teaching dentists how to create amazing, natural looking tooth coloured fillings for their patients.  I had great day with really positive feedback from all who attended. The best curry lunch ever was served by the father of the owner of Wakefield Academy. The course was sponsored by Cosmodent and being their UK Opinion Leader means that I am kept up to date with newest materials on the market, so all my tooth coloured fillings at Pure are like mini works of art!!

Relaxing Easter Break - 7th April 2010| Posted by Nikki

I hope you all had a nice relaxing Easter break. Despite the initial rain and cold, Easter Sunday was beautiful in West Cornwall and my husband & I had a lovely walk on the cliffs at Godrevy near Hayle. For any of you who havent been to that part of Cornwall before, hurry up and visit!! It is easily one of my favourite places in the world and it always reminds me why I would never live anywhere else but Cornwall

Livvy & I had a great day on Sunday hosting a ‘Pure’ display stand at the Wedding Fayre at Falmouth Hotel. It was great to meet so many lovely ‘brides to be’, all excited about their forthcoming nuptials. There was a great interest in our ½ price Enlighten Tooth Whitening and we hope many brides will take us up on this fantastic offer to ensure they have a gleaming smile for their perfect day!!!

 

Oral Hygiene Education - 29th March 2010| Posted by Jo

I have been studying Oral Hygiene Education for 1 ½ years and finally I took my exam on 20th March. The exam was held in Bristol and during the morning I had a written examination followed by my viva in the afternoon – a very scary moment!!

Anyway, I hope I have done well because I really enjoy my time educating our patients on a one to one basis.

SAAD Certification - 25th March 2010| Posted by Lou

On the 5th March I had a great opportunity to go to London to attend a sedation course. I gained a certificate from SAAD and learned how to care and monitor our patients when they require sedation for dental treatment.

I had a fantastic weekend and the certificate and course has given me every confidence in caring for you whilst you receive your treatment.
